Founded on the premise of neighbors helping neighbors, TaskRabbit operates in 19 cities nationwide to match consumers in need of common chores with “taskers” in their community that are available to help.Walgreens now partners with TaskRabbit to help flu sufferers receive over-the-counter medications by enabling “taskers” in their neighborhood to pick up and deliver these remedies for a fee that is automatically processed in the app.Acting on Your MissionAs a credit union, your underlying mission of people helping people fits squarely with the fundamentals of human-centered design. CGG has completed JumpStart multi-client geoscience packages for the North West Shelf (NWS) of Australia and the Banda Arc in the Asia-Pacific region. Both packages are now available and, according to CGG, enhance understanding of the prospectivity of these two regions, allowing the assessment of new plays.The NWS JumpStart package encompasses the Northern Carnarvon, Roebuck, Browse and Bonaparte basins, where recent Triassic discoveries have heightened industry interest. The new study is said to fill knowledge gaps regarding the region’s Triassic paleogeography and petroleum systems and mitigates exploration risk for clients evaluating Triassic plays in this region.The Banda Arc JumpStart package brings insights into this tectonic region at the collision zone between continental Australia and the Indonesian archipelago where historically little data was available. With new seismic data and interpretation from CGG’s 16,300 km BandaSeis 2D BroadSeis survey, the study addresses significant imaging challenges relating to the complex overburden and below the fold and thrust. Image source: BellBell Dredging Pumps B.V. has just released these beautiful photos from a project at Sassevaart near Terneuzen, the Netherlands, where they are emptying tubular piles for the construction of the Nieuwe Sluis. The Bell 100 equipped with a double cutter head has a diameter of 1.1 meter and is lowered into the piles to pump the sand, clay and debris out.“Because the pump is equipped with a water jet ring around the center the pile wall gets cleaned simultaneously,” said Bell in its announcement.The work will finish soon with already 120 piles having been emptied and cleaned at this moment.Image source: Bell
