Lancaster High alumnus Adam Wheeler competes today in the U.S. Greco-Roman Wrestling Nationals in Las Vegas, attempting to win a title in the 96-kilogram (211.5-pound) division. Wheeler, representing the Gator Wrestling Club, enters the event ranked No. 1 in the nation after beating two-time Nebraska All-American Justin Ruiz, who is ranked No. 2 nationally. Ruiz defeated Wheeler in the finals of the U.S. Nationals and World Team Trials last year and is seeking a third consecutive national title today.
