FRISCO, Texas – New Orleans’ Rehema Franklin is the Southland Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.The senior pushed the Privateers (4-7, 0-2 SLC) to a 79-73 win over North Dakota last week in UNO’s final non-conference matchup of the season. Franklin rattled off a career-high 33 points on 11-of-16 shooting and a 4-of-8 outing from three-point range. Her scoring performance stands as a Southland single-game high this season where Franklin is averaging 14.4 points per game. The senior is the first UNO player to score more than 30 points in a game since Randi Brown in the 2017-18 campaign.
