first_imgWayne Rooney is confident that the Major League Soccer (MLS) will continue to grow over the years and attract even more top talent.Ever since David Beckham’s arrival in 2007 from Real Madrid, the MLS’ profile has grown exponentially with a host of big names making the move over to the United States.Thierry Henry, Steven Gerrard, David Villa, Kaka, Andrea Pirlo, Didier Drogba, Frank Lampard and now Zlatan Ibrahimovic have all played in the MLS in the last 12 years.And Rooney, who reached the Eastern Conference semi-finals in his first campaign at DC United last term, is confident that the MLS will attract more big names in the years to come following his former United team-mate Nani’s arrival at Orlando City.“It’s a fantastic league,” said Rooney, according to Sky Sports.“Obviously Nani came as well (to Orlando City).
